The time-setting system of our clock is designed for intuitive functionality and mechanical efficiency, allowing seamless transitions between time adjustment and power reserve winding. The mechanism operates on a bistable system, enabling the user to switch between two stable positions: time-setting mode and winding mode.
A rotating bezel serves as the interface, smoothly shifting between functions. In time-setting mode, the bezel engages a setting lever and gear system, allowing for precise and bidirectional time adjustments. In winding mode, it disengages the time-setting gears and activates a separate linkage to recharge the power reserve. This system is reinforced by a bistable arm and cam mechanism, ensuring controlled movement while maintaining mechanical stability.
